Get Connected

Jesus taught that church is not a program you attend; it’s a group of people you know and love (John 13:34-35).  So how can someone move from attending a program, to knowing and loving a group of people?  That’s not easy.  And it can feel a bit intimidating.

So we have tried to create lots of ways for you to develop meaningful connections with other Mercy Hill people – ways that are “low” on the intimidation scale.

Welcome Dessert

Pastor Steve and his wife regularly have people over to their home to enjoy dessert, get to know each other, and ask questions about Mercy Hill Church.  If you’d like to attend, you can email us at mercy.hill.church at sbcglobal dot net, and we’ll let you know about the next Welcome Dessert.

After-Church Lunch

There’s almost always a bunch of people who go out to lunch right after the service – either at Una Mas (Mexican), Armadillo Willy’s (barbecue), In ‘n Out (burgers), or Johnny Rockets (burgers).  All these restaurants are right across the street from Allen school.  This is a great way to meet new friends and enjoy some good food.  We’d love to have you join us. If you’re interested, email us at mercy.hill.church at sbcglobal dot net.

Home Group

One of the best ways to make connections is to visit a home group.  Home groups are groups of 6 to 15 people who meet weekly in order to become a Christ-centered community pursuing Jesus’ mission.  You can visit a group without any obligation.  You can see a list of our home groups here.

Men’s Breakfast

On the third Saturday of the month the men get together at one of their homes for breakfast and Bible study and prayer.  It’s casual, there’s always new men, and you’ll get some good eats.  It runs from 8 AM until 9:30 or so.  We'd love to have you join us.

Women’s Connection

On most second Saturdays of the month the women meet at one of their homes to strengthen their connections with Jesus and each other.  There’s always new women, and you’ll leave strengthened and encouraged.  It runs from 9:45 to 11:15 AM.

Something Else

If none of the above options grabs you, email us at mercy.hill.church at sbcglobal dot net and let us know what would work for you.  Seriously; if you want to make connections, we’ll find a way.
